Sometimes, we have to let the negativity play its part. We’ve got to feel disgusted, not with ourselves but with our situation, before we truly bounce back.

Spiritual books are useful friends during these tough times — not the ones that talk about God, but the ones that talk about character, value, and integrity. And every once in a while, a sentence hits me so hard that it helps me pull off a month.
