Remember how amazing print and video advertisements were before social media. They connected with us on an emotional level. But now, most marketers refuse to use their brains creatively. They simply refer to what the competition does (since it’s easily visible) and replicate it. And then they are surprised when they don’t achieve the unrealistic numbers they were aiming for. The same holds true for products, services and even features.
While social media has stoked the creativity and knowledge of millions, it also has limited our desire to think. Everything is good in moderation. Unfortunately, social media has become one of things we indulge in excess in today.
