This is so true.

But FOMO scares the hell out of most of us. What if I don’t do what someone else is doing and lose out on the next big things? What we fail to see is that the person who’s rocking a field got there through years of patience and consistency.

The moment we find a task getting tougher, we turn to instant gratification. We lose momentum and then look for something else which excites us in that moment. Then it’s Groundhog’s Day all over again.

I’m guilty of everything I wrote above. My 2018 Resolution — if I can keep one — is to find just 3 things which matter to me. Then I won’t sit around waiting for motivation. I’ll go after it with a bat.
